We’re almost halfway through 2007 and the past six months have been the most exciting yet in the history of Foxy Bingo.
Since unveiling Katie Price, as the brands face in early January, the online bingo site has gone from strength to with thousands of new players joining us to chat, play and win. Katie’s appearance in a bespoke purple bingo dress make front page news on the UK’s best selling newspaper and graced the pages of various gossip magazines for weeks after.
Another exciting addition to Foxy Bingo is our fun filled weekly radio show- which is the only one of its kind in the industry. Broadcast live each Thursday between 8 and 9pm, the show has been gathering both memento and listeners on a weekly basis. Each week the show’s presenters Jim Wheble and Bingo Manageress Helen Rooney bring listeners an hour full of bingo fun with players and chat with players and chat hosts alike appearing as guests to share their views and win bundles of bingo points. And the show even has a bit of celebrity sparkle, with famous guests popping in from time to time to say hello, most recent of which has been soap star turned pop icon and Jason Donovan.
One of the strongest aspects of the site is the friendly and fun loving community that has been created around it. Each and every day, players from across the country and beyond are meeting in our chat rooms and forming strong ties and friendships. Following the news that one our most popular chat hosts, Tippy had been diagnosed with breast cancer, the sheer power of this community was unveiled. During a two hour event, which saw Foxy HQ match 100% off all money spent on cards in our popular Lucky Stars room, over £3000 was raised for Breast Cancer Care. “Thank you to everyone for their support and best wishes, just knowing you were all here wishing me better was the best medicine in the world,” said CM Tippy on the event.
However, the fundraising just didn’t stop with the bingo night, with a number of players and hosts meeting up to take part in Race for Life Events across the UK. The most popular race was the City of London’s event in which hosts Popcorn and Terri and player Daydreamer29 took part. Also attending the event where fellow hosts, players and Bingo Manageress Helen, who cheered on the trio from the side line. “The Race for Life was a fantastic thing to do, the weather was brilliant and a fun day was had by all, said Popcorn- shortly after crossing the finishing line. “Thank you to everyone on the site who has supported and sponsored us. We know we have the best roomies in the world.”
The latter half of 2007 is set to bring even more fun and frolics to Foxy, as the site continues its rapid growth as the most recognised brand in online bingo.
